Your privacy, clearly explained

InterviewX (Bundle ID: com.guoxinxian.interviewx, referred to as “the App”) is an interview practice tool. This policy explains how the App handles information on iPhone and iPad. We do not sell personal information or show advertising in the App.

1. Your data stays local by default

No InterviewX account is required. Your resume, role details, answers, interview history, settings, permission choice, and local AI credits stay on your device until you clear them or delete the App.

2. When you choose AI

Before starting or resuming an online AI interview, InterviewX asks for permission with a “Personalize this interview with AI?” disclosure when AI permission has not been granted that identifies the data, recipients, and purposes described below. Nothing is sent to Render or DeepSeek until you tap “Allow and continue.” If you tap “Not now,” you can keep editing and saving information locally, but the online AI interview will not start or resume.

If you agree, InterviewX sends the resume text, role details, interview settings, questions, and typed or transcribed answers needed for the feature to DeepSeek AI. DeepSeek uses them to generate questions, simulated candidate answers, scores, and feedback. Requests pass through an InterviewX secure relay hosted by Render. Voice audio is not sent to Render or DeepSeek.

3. Retention and protection

The InterviewX relay does not log or keep resumes, prompts, answers, or AI output after returning a response. It may keep non-content technical records such as timing and status for reliability. DeepSeek may temporarily cache parts of a request; unused cache is normally cleared within a few hours to a few days, although information may be kept longer when required for security or law. Render and DeepSeek are required to protect personal data consistently with this policy and applicable data-protection requirements. Data is encrypted in transit.

4. Voice answers

With your permission, Apple’s online Speech Recognition service may receive and process voice audio to create a transcript. Apple is the recipient of the voice audio used for this transcription. Voice audio is not sent to InterviewX’s relay on Render or to DeepSeek; only the resulting transcript may be shared with them for the AI features described above. InterviewX stores temporary recordings in the app’s cache and removes them when the recording session is reset.

5. Your choices

You can withdraw AI permission at any time in Profile > AI Data Sharing; this stops future AI transfers. “Clear local data” removes local interview data, resume and role details, permission, purchase records, and remaining local credits. Completed requests cannot be recalled.

For access, correction, or deletion requests involving completed AI processing, email xiangguoxin520@icloud.com. We will respond as required by law and coordinate with our service providers when needed.

6. Purchases

Apple processes App Store purchases. InterviewX does not receive your payment card number or Apple Account password. Buying does not require AI permission. Clearing local data does not cancel an App Store subscription.

7. Other information

InterviewX does not sell personal information, show ads, or use third-party behavioral analytics. The App is not designed specifically for children, and we do not knowingly collect children’s personal information.
