Glimpage

Privacy Policy

Last updated September 17, 2026

Glimpage helps you keep everyday moments and turn them into photo pages. You do not need an account. The app does not upload your journal to a server we operate, and it includes no advertising or third-party analytics SDKs.

Your photos and words

Photos, notes, places you enter, dates, topics, and saved inspiration progress are stored in the app on your device. The system photo picker gives Glimpage access only to the photos you select. If a selected photo is in iCloud, Apple's Photos service may download it before the app can read it. Camera access is optional and is requested when you choose to take a photo. Imported record photos are saved as resized JPEG copies without the original EXIF or GPS metadata. Your originals are not changed.

Subject cutouts

Subject detection and image composition use Apple's on-device frameworks. Glimpage does not send your photos to an online AI service. A separately selected subject is used for the current editing session; the extracted subject image is not saved as a permanent journal photo. Text edits, layout choices, and subject placement can be remembered on your device.

Optional nearby weather

If you enable nearby weather, the app requests location access while you use it. Coordinates are rounded to two decimal places before being sent to Apple Weather and Apple's place-name service. A city name you search for is also sent to Apple's geocoding service. These requests do not include your journal photos or notes. The app stores the selected weather place and a weather cache locally. Turning off weather recommendations clears those saved weather settings and the cache. Glimpage does not track your location in the background.

Purchases

Paid templates use Apple's in-app purchase system. Apple processes the payment; Glimpage does not receive your payment card details. The app uses purchase status to unlock templates and restore access. It does not send your transaction details or purchase history to a server we operate.

Sharing is your choice

When you choose to share, Glimpage creates an image on your device and opens the system share sheet. You choose where it goes. The image contains the photos and text visible in your preview, which may include a place or date. Copies sent to another app or saved outside Glimpage are managed by that destination and its privacy practices.

Keeping and deleting your data

You can edit or delete journal records and remove their photos in the app. Shared-page text drafts and previously generated image caches may remain in local app storage after a record is deleted. Deleting the app removes its local app data, but does not remove original photos, exported copies, or copies you have shared. Device backups, including iCloud Backup if enabled, may contain app data; Apple manages those backups under your device settings. Glimpage does not provide its own cloud backup or account sync.

Your controls

You can change camera and location permissions in iOS Settings and turn off weather recommendations inside the app. Core journal features do not require location access. There are no advertising identifiers or tracking SDKs in Glimpage. If you contact support, we use the information you choose to send to respond to your request; avoid including private journal content unless it is relevant and you want to share it.
